Had difficulty getting audio from Sony tv so got this to be more compatible using Bravia sync settings. Learned that the tv main board was bad and now Sony is replacing the tv because they had no local service techs. Pretty heavy so difficult to wall mount without extra brackets. No option for surround sound. Extra HDMI inputs a real plus and eArc capability.

I loved this sound bar when it worked but after two of them failing within a year I ended up going with a different brand.

La barra tiene unas caracteristicas de sonida de alta calidad. El problema es que al cabo de un tiempo el sonido se desconecta. No he sido capaz de encontrar una función de timeout que elimine este tema.

This is my 3rd soundbar and I was looking for something that sounded great and you could hear the voices on the tv. This fits the bill. Plenty of inputs, well made, it’s the old story you get what you pay for.

Pros: excelentes bajos, claros y potentes. El sw es enorme y metálico, no se mueve un milímetro en el piso, lindo diseño, buen precio respecto de la competencia, la única con sonido 7.1.2 y soporte oficial en el país. Gran rango dinámico. Cons: Susceptible a interferencias, hay que buscar el canal que a uno le convenga para el sw inalámbrico, cuya conexión cableada no está soportada. Al principio tuve interferencias con el wifi hasta que encontré un canal alejado y no sucedió mas. No me gustó que no tenga control manual de bass/treble como sus predecesoras (uno queda dependiente de los "Sound Fields", que son correctos pero no personalizables). El menú gráfico es HD y no 4K, no "recuerda" el sound field para cada fuente, por lo cual uno tiene que estar cambiándolo contínuamente por ejemplo cuando pone música (Music) y venía de mirar TV (Movies)

buena calidad de materiales, se ve solido y fuerte, costó un poco ponerlo a punto en cuanto a la configuracion. En cuanto al sonido esperaba un poco mas por el valor que tiene, igual estoy conforme.

El producto es muy bueno, superior a todo lo que he visto, tiene un sonido impecable y lo pude hacer andar con Dolby Atmos, pero no con todas las aplicaciones. Netflix y HBO Max sin problemas, pero con Tidal es imposible. El Tidal necesita una versión de chromecast mas avanzada si se hace cast desde un celular (no lo reconoce), pero tampoco lo reconoce instalando la app directo en el Android TV. Lo mismo si quiero reproducir demos Atmos por pendrive en el reproductor de medios, no se escucha nada. La última actualización es del año pasado, con lo cual no sé si se sigue manteniendo tanto y la versión de chromecast audio está desactualizada. Estoy conforme en general, pero esperaba otro soporte a nivel de Sony por el precio de la barra.

I purchased this product less than a year ago and now it is unusable. Whenever someone talks there is a static backing note. It will randomly cut sound for a few seconds. I've adjusted setting, changed cables and inputs, even tried a different tv (which shouldn't be an issue because I'm using a Sony x900).

El sonido potente, excelente bajo, pero esperaba mucho más del sonido envolvente y de Dolby Atmos, es un bueno sonido, pero no llega a ser excelente.

Purchased two. Both units the subwoofer crackles. Seems to be a known issue but have been waiting over a year for a software update.. Take a pass on this one. I bought the most expensive thinking it would be the best. Big mistake.

For what these cost, there needs to be rear speakers possibilities! This is nuts! It will make Sony even more money - PLEASE!! If I have an STR-DN1080, can I add rear speakers??

This is a serious piece of kit! If you value versatility, rich dynamic sound, and a bass so powerful that it makes the whole building shake, then this is definitely a worthwhile investment. Connects wirelessly to the TV, phone, tablet and computer. It conveniently replaces the need for a hifi and if you have access to online film streaming services, then you will never want to go to the cinema again. I’m extremely pleased with the quality of this sound system and would thoroughly recommend it, although if you have any neighbours, I'm not sure they would agree!

Purchased the flagship of Sony soundbars in January 2018 and for 3 years I was very happy with it until suddenly it stopped working. It would still transmit sound but that is about it. It would take a very long time to power up and to shut down and I could not access the menu with the remote. Hard reset didn't work and the firmware cannot be updated. So I am left with a fairly expensive piece of equipment from Sony that gave me 3 years of service. Very disappointed with this soundbar.

Hola compre esta barra con la idea de mejorar el sonido de las peliculas aprovechando el sonido que ofrece DOLBY ATMOS, lamentablemente no tengo un techo plano, es inclinado de madera, por lo cual aun no pude oír el rebote que proporcionan los parlantes adicionales. Seria bueno también que se pudieran agregar parlantes satelitales para mejorar la experiencia inmersiva. Por otro lado suena muy bien y tiene un excelente bajo. Saludos cordiales.

Returned it twice while under warranty for repair and now same part failed after a few months of getty a new main board installed Very very very unhappy

I like this bar. I like sony products. It's paired with my 75 in. 900h. However need rear speaker support. I assumed since the Z9 had ability to add rear speakers. The ST5000 would. NOPE! You guys need to figure this out. Jim
